Garramilla Boulevard is the latest addition to the Darwin CBD road network, providing a secondary arterial road link into the heart of the city. Garramilla Boulevard cuts through the city and is designed to cater for planned future growth that will align the road.

A comprehensive landscape and urban design framework was produced to guide the detail design, ensuring the engineering and landscape design was seamlessly integrated to create an environment that over time will have activated edges through mixed use development.

A key feature of the road are the rows of trees planted in linear stratavault tree pits, providing suitable soil volumes to ensure maximum canopy coverage is achieved to create a landscape boulevard that was always envisaged by the city planners.
