The landscape design for the new Menzies School of Health Research was guided by the Charles Darwin University Casuarina Campus Landscape Master Plan.

The landscape scheme considered existing major pedestrian thoroughfares to develop a high quality landscape with improved connections, outdoor gathering spaces and a planting pallet reflective of the Top End dry tropics.

Working closely with the architects, a number of outdoor breakout spaces were introduced. Building entries were highlighted by landscape features and large freestanding gabion walls protruding out from the building.
